5 out of 5 stars finally a good uke that won't break the bank   May 15, 2010

This is the third ukulele that I have purchased overall and the best by far. It has very good intonation, which has been hard to find till now. I like the fact that it is solid mahagany and rosewood fretboard with Nubone technology for the nut and bridge. Included were Aquilla strings and gig bag. Finally I can play chords that sound good. No setup needed on this uke, just tune up and play away.

4 out of 5 stars Nice size, nice volume and tone   April 6, 2010

Mahalo U-320C ..first the cons..it's not fancy, friction tuners can be sensitive, but no big deal; now the pros...the thing really sounds good! Good volume and tone, nicely spaced frets. Earlier I purchased Mahalo's soprano model. Frets were too closely spaced for my longish fingers and it's sound quality was just fair to me overall. (It did however give me a jump start since I played guitar decades ago.) The larger model U-320C is concert size as they say, has those traditional friction tuners, but they're tolerable. Just give the strings some time to stretch and for things to stabilize. Not fancy looking, but nice sound and very decent volume. Soft case included also. Of my 4 economy ukes, I kind of favor this one.
