| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The most exciting brand of ukuleles on the market today just got even better by offering several new ukuleles in two of the most iconic guitar shapes made famous throughout the 1950's and 60's. The ULP-30VS LP Style Ukulele in Vintage Sunburst, though the look of this instrument speaks of rock and roll, it still retains that traditional tone and charm of the Hawaiian Islands and the honor of being the most played instrument the world over.

| Customer Reviews: Fantastic right out of the box! Compares favorably. January 7, 2010 Sambient (East Coast USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Les Paul inspired Mahalo was on my Christmas list. There's other versions out there, some electrified, but the fret markers and the faux jade tuners just make this baby so desirable looking.
Santa was very good to me.
I wasn't prepared for just how spectacular it would sound. This honey positively rings. One of the few ukuleles I didn't have to change out the strings to get it to sound good. The strings on it might be Aquilas, which starts it with a big plus anyway. Didn't need a set up. Perfectly playable. Holds a tuning pretty well for something brand new. Comfortable and lovely.
I will say there were slight finish flaws on mine. The construction is superb, but the label inside was placed jauntily askew and there's a small spot on the sound hole edge that didn't get finished. But these make me comfortable. I mean, if it was too perfect, I'd be hesitant to play it as much.
I'm still relatively new to this whole ukulele addiction, and enjoy feeding my lust with inexpensive ukes. As far as I'm concerned, any uke fan should have one of these resonant beauties. I'd even recommend it as a decent starter uke.
For those of you ukulele enthusiasts who swear by the Makala Dolphin as the terrificmost cheapie, don't overlook the Mahalo LP. I also received a new Dolphin for Christmas. One with a good set up and Aquila strings. It's a sweetheart, but my Les Paul sounds even better. Also, the included gig bag is far superior to the one that comes with a Makala Dolphin. That's not saying much. The disposable bibs at the dentist office are made of more substantial stuff than the Makala Dolphin's original gig bag. The Mahalo gig bag is leatherette with twill trim, double zippers, and is lined with a velouresque fabric.
Amazing product May 2, 2010 bluesman (ri) Excellent product. Amazing how you can make a ukelele look like a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar!
