Outstanding for the Price March 29, 2009 David Mcwilliams (Pearl City, Illinois, USA) 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
I had a cheap ukulele. I purchased some books to start playing. The cheap one would not tune to the proper notes. I purchased the Kala Mahogany Sorprano Ukulele with hopes it would be better than the one I had. To my surprise the Kala far exceeded my expectations. The quality is outstanding for the price. I tuned it in less than 5 minutes and now I am on my way.Kala Mahogany Soprano Ukulele w/binding
LOVE IT August 30, 2009 M. Lee 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Just got this baby a couple of days ago and haven't stopped playing since. It stays in tune and has a nice rich tone. I tried comparing it to my friend's Lanikai, and Kala overexceeds all aspects of the Lanikai. Rich tone, stays in tune, and overall beautiful. All this for a good price!
Well made Uke July 25, 2009 Chazcc (Seattle, WA) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
Had a cheap ukulele but didn't realize how cheap until I received this KA-S with Aquila white strings, not the black ones as described. Great tuners/gears, you can really fine tune this instrument. Glad I bought the Korg TM-40 tuner as well, makes tuning a no brainer. The notes sound great and more similar to ukulele recordings I've listened to.
I went to a local guitar store to get a case and looked at other ukulele's that were more expensive. I can't justify purchasing a ukulele over $100 as the craftsmanship looked (to my novice eyes) on par with the more expensive ones so I am satisfied with this purchase for now...
Fun Instrument January 16, 2009 UkeGirl (West Bend, WI, USA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased my ukulele in Honolulu last fall. What a fun intrument to learn and play with quick success. There were other models and makes that were more expensive, but for a little money- it is a great little instrument with rich tones. Holds tune very well, beautiful looking and great sounding. Get one of your own!
