Nice instrument for the price April 22, 2009 J. Huber (Maryland) 35 out of 35 found this review helpful
I've had this for about a month and it's exactly what I expected for the price. A nice little instrument perfectly capable of making decent sounds.
Don't buy this expecting to start a professional Ukulele band but do buy it if you are curious about the instrument. You'll be able to play enough to decide if you want to go further or not.
My only complaint would be that the action is weak the further you travel down the neck and the nice sound disappears.
great for kids, but paint chips too easily November 9, 2009 Tech, Books, Coffee (California) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
We bought this for our 2-year old who *loves* it. The quality and workmanship are good for the most part, but the paint chips off too easily. Would be good to have a more sturdy paint on the bridge, especially.
Nice little beginner's Uke December 5, 2009 Confounding the Wise (Unionville, OH, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a nice beginner's ukelele. The sound is perfectly reasonable. The price point is just right for someone that wants to try the instrument without making a major financial investment.
Beginner Uke December 28, 2009 Eric (seattle wa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my first ukulele and so far it has been a lot of fun. My Dad did some work on it to help improve its sound but as is it was still a lot of fun. This is by no means an instrument for serious musicians but is great for people who just want to try it or dink around. it needs frequent tuning but it is still new so the strings could easily still be stretching. All in all, I think I got more than my money's worth out of this instrument and will likely buy a higher quality instrument once i get a little more comfortable because i'm having a ton of fun.
